Walker, et al. v. Farmers Group, Inc.

 

B.J. Walker and Linda Williams were sued by a neighbor for allegedly striking her with their garage door.  Ms. Walker and Ms. Williams’ insurance carrier, Farmers Insurance Exchange, refused to defend them in the action brought by their neighbor.  The Quisenberry Law Firm represented Ms. Walker and Ms. Williams in a suit against Farmers for failing to defend them. Ms. Walker and Ms. Williams obtained a judgment for more than $10 million, including the attorney’s fees they incurred in defending themselves in the neighbor’s lawsuit, $1,500,000 in emotional distress and over $8,000,000 in punitive damages.
